When June dances over the death of May
the sweet sound of thrush ushers in her day.

All nature seems to work, play or sing.
The bees are stirring. Birds are on the wing.

Summer claims the open air.
The light is the voice for any fair.

The wind blows cool to calm the heat.
People find ways to stay off the street.

The bee dances from flower to flower
to drink the golden glow of particulate power.

He probes each flower to search for sweetness.
The pollen goes home to the comb to make honey with discreteness.

Peonies without pistils are just too simple.
Nectar and pollen are more than a symbol.
Farming this fragrance is the bee's prophetic Sibyl.
She foretells honey as the product for each cell's thimble.

The comb is a home
to many a drone.

This model of society is a recognized monarchy.
The natural government has a strong hierarchy.
The hierarchy frames the strength for the society.

There is order, stability and interest for production.
The utility of purpose acts as a reduction.

The reduction of wasted time and effort is the result.
The production of a tasteful product reduces tumult.

The spirit of Swammerdam wears the smile of productivity.
His research on insects showed proclivity for industry.

He had proved that the 'king' was a queen.
He used a microscope to see what needed to be seen.

The monarch had been named  "king" from ancient times.
The visual detection of eggs in ovaries proved otherwise.

The sweetness of varying colors comes from the legs of drones.
It contains delight as a sign for those who reflect on their own.

The sweet radiance that is beyond all measure
is condensed in honey as the treasure.

Luminosity is formed as viscous grace.
Wisdom produces this grace with taste
in the colony's comb as the place
to make haste without waste.

I am the sole unbusy thing.
My watching doesn't make honey, build or sing.

The hive is the super-organism.
The community is a form of swarming formalism

Observers open the chambers hunting for the queen.
Is she eating honey, laying eggs or avoiding being seen?
She is old and not too bold.
She must live to make another fold.

The new virgins dwell
over their hexagonal cells.

A curtain of wax divides them from the bridal flight.
The barrenness of the virgin ends when the drone who fights
the swarm to make her pregnant in flight dies.

He falls from the sky.
She calls the swarm to follow her sighs.
Flight sings praise to the Giver of life.
The buzz hums gratitude to deliverance from strife.
Love fulfilled is chance imbibed.

The dance circumscribed
is the eternal flow of time in the hive.

Darkness is welcome even without rain.
The clouds spell relief from the heat as a pain.

The earth waits with patience for the golden guest of ray.
The brilliance is released to sing of angelic play.

This voice of gold has called me out there,
outside the window to receive the soft stare.
The uncontested summer played plainly in the air.

Your love looked as simple as that purest of pears
that you picked for me with the greatest of care.

The pearskin’s fleck and trace
was as smooth as any human grace.

It gave the power to break the attack
that held us back from what we lack.
That barrier that held us back
was best known to our zodiac
as the curse of the megalomaniac.

The “fear” most of us defined
was a product of the mind.

Those who conquered this great foe
weren't called heroes.

The feeling was brave
for it seemed unafraid.

The fear was not ejected.
It was actually extended
that courage could be defended.

Corporations probed households to increase their prices.
The prices shrieked MORE despite the height of their highness.

The veil of light in day hid the sky seen at night.
The memory of the hive was inscribed in the night by mind.

Industry sat in the shell of defense.
We built benefit to protect ourselves from menace.

The world was all that was the case.
The Dutch republic decided to give monarchy chase.

The seventeenth century was the frame.
The slave trade became the insane part of the game.

Otherwise, Dutch art became world reknowned.
It celebrated life as it was found.

Sea travel became more frequent.
The ships increased risk with the increase in sequence.

Large waves due to storms had a regularity in their swell.
The up and down was large, but it was manageable.

The rouge wave that had been thought to have been a fiction
was met more often in the sailor predilection for prediction.

The ocean south of Africa's Cape of Good Hope
was likely to make the seasoned sailor feel like  a dope.

The rouge wave was formed by different factors.
They came together when it was wished that it hadn't mattered.

Crosswinds can push the water waves into a higher swell
when they converge in diagonals in the currents that propel.

Ocean currents can also create a rouge.
When waves conjoin, it increases the size of the flow.

The result can be a monster twice the size of normal.
This wave can break your boat as if it were paranormal.

I heard the unfamiliar voice say,
"I eased his burden along the way."

I answered you from the secret place of thunder.
You were rescued when you thought you had made a fatal blunder.

The bitter bite of storm
had threatened to take you from your normal forms.

The calm waters appeared to be made from luck
after the storm had tossed the ship around like a rubber duck
in a tub of foamy bubbles to remove your nasty funk.

Moxibusted mugwort was worth more than gold
when the sailor felt that his body had been told
that it had been mugged, drugged, thugged and rolled.

We confront death while we live
that salvation may be that which gives
us life as the win.

It is energy for the body
that makes it feel alive or godly.

Time for rest is given as a form of freedom
that the body may be forgiven for being driven as needed
in season with or without reason.

Beauty is a state of mind in elegance
that is refined with the practice of intelligence.

Cool black night had crept in through the forest.
The shadows shrunk as the darkness became enormous.

The moon approached Mars at about eleven.
The waning gibbous illumined earth from the darkness of heaven.

A mockingbird chased a squirrel with the confidence of flight.
The squirrel had to scramble as the bird left sight.

The shy moon cast light between the stones upon the river.
The river of stars reached across forever to cause a shiver.

The artist pulled back to look at the canvas.
Certain strokes needed more art as exacted by practice.

The musician cast a wary eye out the window.
The rest was a pest that wanted to be known as wind blown.

The ravine was parched by the heat of the day.
The porch held some souls without much to say.
The black leather jackets were open all the way.
Whatever the color, the wooden house looked grey.

The hi-fi made "Angels Never Die" echo through the trees.
The memory of the highway played along with the breeze.
The Harley hog road by fields, gardens and towns.
Nomadic soul drowned amidst the domestic sounds.

The starving black angel hid in human disguise
with dimensionless being by American design.

A solemn charge was laid upon our gift
as we had come from the land of misery for this.

We are born to suffer
the power of the other.

Sit down and breathe
the breath that you need.
The breath relaxes tension
with attention for descension.

Work like the sun.
See what you've done.

Don't take poison to see if the antidote works.
If it doesn't, your body will suffer pain or worse.

Realize birth in the boundless moment.
The light is delight in what power has chosen.

The celestial entourage shines in paradise.
The divine device resides inside your surprise.

Shine in your heaven.
The news is on at seven.

Give the past its place.
The present shapes your face.
The future will meet you further in space
with a place for you in grace.

Forget the flash in which you exist.
The world is your map should you persist.
If there was a time when you had to resist,
it went by like a gift without a twist.

You are the other already.
You took the chevy to the levy.
It may sound heavy,
but eternity is steady.

It's a lasting paradigm.
You are the heavy in eternal time.
Become one with your story. Revel with your rhyme.

Tell us who you are with every step.
We vanish inevitably, only when inept.
You remain in the experience you have kept.
You were shaped by dreams as you slept.

The shadow of the dome of pleasure
drifts past with the mingled measure.

I don't know how to pray to make pain pass.
I know how to fall down on my knees in the soft grass
to press the earth with my temple sideways cast.

It is a miracle of rare device.
My heart becomes warm where there had been ice.
What do you plan to do with your wild and precious life?

Sing with joy as your strength.
Let the divine experience of being human guide you at length.

81 Exultate Deo

1 Sing with joy to God our strength *
and raise a loud shout to the God of Jacob.
2 Raise a song and sound the timbrel, *
the merry harp, and the lyre.
3 Blow the ram's-horn at the new moon, *
and at the full moon, the day of our feast.
4 For this is a statute for Israel, *
a law of the God of Jacob.
5 He laid it as a solemn charge upon Joseph, *
when he came out of the land of Egypt.
6 I heard an unfamiliar voice saying, *
"I eased his shoulder from the burden;
his hands were set free from bearing the load."
7 You called on me in trouble, and I saved you; *
I answered you from the secret place of thunder
and tested you at the waters of Meribah.
8 Hear, O my people, and I will admonish you: *
O Israel, if you would but listen to me!
9 There shall be no strange god among you; *
you shall not worship a foreign god.
10 I am the Lord your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt and said, *
"Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it."
11 And yet my people did not hear my voice, *
and Israel would not obey me.
12 So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their hearts, *
to follow their own devices.
13 Oh, that my people would listen to me! *
that Israel would walk in my ways!
14 I should soon subdue their enemies *
and turn my hand against their foes.
15 Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him, *
and their punishment would last for ever.
16 But Israel would I feed with the finest wheat *
and satisfy him with honey from the rock.

The community of Fairview was likely first established by Samuel Davis. He was a Revolutionary War veteran who settled on the Todd County side around 1793. Davis opened the first post office there on October 1, 1802. The locale was named "Davisburg". His son, Jefferson Davis, the future President of the Confederate States of America, was born there on June 3, 1808.

Newark is one of the oldest European cities in the United States. It was settled in 1666 by Puritans from New Haven Colony. It is located at the mouth of the Passaic River. The river flows into Newark Bay. The location has made the city's waterfront an integral part of the Port of New York and New Jersey.

Port Newark-Elizabeth is the primary container shipping terminal of the busiest seaport on the American East Coast. Newark Liberty International Airport was the first municipal commercial airport in the United States. It is one of busiest terminals today.

Tammany Hall was a Democratic Party political machine. It began to grow in influence with the support of many of the immigrant Irish. The hall dominated local politics for decades starting with the election of the first Tammany mayor in 1854. Central Park was a product of the machine. It first opened to the public in 1858. It became the first landscaped public park in an American city.
New York City played a complex role in the American Civil War.  The access to ocean trade routes made it the American powerhouse in terms of industrial trade between the northern and southern United States.

New York's growing immigrant population had originated largely from Germany and Ireland. It began in the late 1850's to include waves of Italians and Central and Eastern European Jews.

The population for Los Angeles had grown to more than 102,000 by 1900. This put pressure on the city's water supply. The Los Angeles Aqueduct was completed in 1913 under the supervision of William Mulholland. This assured the continued growth of the city.

Kanagawa is a prefecture just south of Tokyo. It includes the capital city, Yokohama. This city is home to a large Chinatown. The town is lined with food stalls and restaurants. The city also has traditional, landscaped Sankei-en Garden and the Landmark Tower skyscraper with its rooftop garden. Ōsanbashi Pier features waterside paths and shops. Northeast is the city of Kawasaki and its Buddhist Kawasaki Daishi temple.

Commodore Matthew Perry landed in Kanagawa in 1853 and 1854 and signed the Convention of Kanagawa to open Japanese ports to the United States.

Rogue waves most likely happen when a perfect storm of factors—especially wind and ocean currents—combine at just the right moment to form an incredibly large wave. A rogue is more than twice the height of a regular wave for the area.

"Rouge Giants at Sea"
NY Times: Science

"The storm was nothing special. Its waves rocked the Norwegian Dawn just enough so that bartenders on the cruise ship turned to the usual palliative — free drinks.

"Then, off the coast of Georgia, early on Saturday, April 16, 2005, a giant, seven-story wave appeared out of nowhere. It crashed into the bow, sent deck chairs flying, smashed windows, raced as high as the 10th deck, flooded 62 cabins, injured 4 passengers and sowed widespread fear and panic.

"“The ship was like a cork in a bathtub,” recalled Celestine Mcelhatton, a passenger who, along with 2,000 others, eventually made it back to Pier 88 on the Hudson River in Manhattan.
Rogue waves can be found where wave fields from different wind systems meet. This occurs mostly in wide mid-latitude ocean basins that are frequently exposed to strong winds.
Rogue waves are not tsunamis, which are generated by subsea earthquakes.

“Rogue waves are a result of different swell interfering constructively, that is two wave fields combining such that two wave crests add up to produce a much taller wave. Another way they are caused is the interaction of waves with surface currents,” Stössel explains.

“Strong currents, such as the Gulf Stream, often feature small-scale jets around which wave crests tend to bend (refract) and converge, thus creating taller waves. Therefore, regions affected by strong currents, such as the Gulf Stream, are more prone to rogue waves. Another example is the Agulhas Current that runs southwestward around South Africa, where it meets tall waves that are generated by the prevalent westerlies in this region.”

Re-birth of Republic

After the 30 years war with Habsburg Spain

The Dutch West Indies company was granted a charter for a trade monopoly in the Dutch West Indies by the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands on June 3, 1621. They were given jurisdiction over Dutch participation in the Atlantic slave trade, Brazil, the Caribbean and North America to compete with the Spanish Habsburgs.

The area where the company could operate consisted of West Africa between the Tropic of Cancer, the Cape of Good Hope and the Americas. The jurisdiction included the Pacific Ocean and the eastern part of New Guinea. The intended purpose of the charter was to eliminate competition with the Spanish or Portuguese trading posts established by the merchants. The company became instrumental in the largely ephemeral Dutch colonization of the Americas in the 17th century. This included New Netherland and New Amsterdam.

Dutch trade, travel, business, science and art were among the most acclaimed in the world.
Dutch Industry was inspired by the research into insects by Swammerdam.

Swammerdam was convinced that the creation or generation of all creatures obeyed the same laws. Having studied the reproductive organs of men and women at university he set out to study the generation of insects. He had devoted himself to studying insects after discovering that the king bee was indeed a queen. He knew this because he had found eggs inside the creature. He did not publish this finding.

Swammerdam was visited by Cosimo II de' Medici in 1669 and showed him another revolutionary discovery. The limbs and wings of the butterfly could be seen inside a caterpillar.

When "The General History of Insects," or "General Treatise on little Bloodless Animals" was published later that year, he not only did away with the idea that insects lacked internal anatomy, but also he refuted the notion that insects originated from spontaneous generation.

He asserted that their life cycle was a metamorphosis. He maintained that all insects originated from eggs and their limbs grew and developed slowly.  He declared war on "vulgar errors." The symbolic interpretation of insects was incompatible with the power of God in his mind.

Swammerdam therefore dispelled the seventeenth-century notion that different life stages of an insect (e.g. caterpillar and butterfly) represent a sudden change from one type of animal to another. The same organism was transformed through different stages.

The first visual proof that his predecessors had mistakenly identified the queen bee as male was published in Biblia Naturae. He also provided evidence that the queen bee is the sole mother of the colony. He had engaged in five intense years of beekeeping. He had found that drones were masculine and had no stinger.

Swammerdam identified the worker bees as "natural eunuchs."  He was unable to detect ovaries in them, but described them as nearer to the nature of the female. He had produced a drawing of the queen bee's reproductive organs, as observed through the microscope. It had been asserted that the queen bee was male and ruled the hive since ancient times.

------------------------

Brothel scenes are a familiar type of seventeenth-century Dutch genre painting. Their popularity poses questions. Who bought these pictures? Prostitution, procuring and adultery were criminal offenses. The word hoererij (whoredom) denoted any kind of nonmarital sexual intercourse. Religious piety was deeply felt not only by Calvinists but by people of other denominations. A market existed for pictures of half-nude women whose charms were for sale in this political climate. The definition of human nature as totally depraved carried some unpredicted side effects with respect for artistry.

Why rejoice in what?
How deep can the world cut?

What conquest is brought home by war?
What fantastic tributes are taken to Rome to store?
Will grace in captivity be bound as Babylon's whore?
You hardened hearts of cruelty born
are blocks or stones, worse than the senseless thorn!

How many times were you compelled
to climb the walls built to foretell
the latest rebellion quelled?

You girded towers and framed window space
with infants in your arms and the day to pace
with patient expectation to see the face
of the latest great Conqueror pass the place
when you saw the last one disappear without a trace.

Have you not made the universal shout
that made the walls tremble to the sound so stout
it made the ground feel like it would bottom out?
Run to your houses. Fall upon your knees.
Pray to end the plague of bees.
Their needs must fight the blight of trees.

The smear campaign is misdirection.
It is a nebulous nobody with no information.
It's a ganglion of neurotic imitations.
Compose each letter in its turn
joined by conflicts you can't help but burn.
This word never existed with a sense anybody can learn.

The confused refuses to suffer for the sins his father refused to commit.
He sits and dreams about twiddling the toes of something worse in which to sit
as a boy-girl of an average pulchritude haunted by the phantoms of his female wit.

Whom has he never seen but composed for himself?
Has he got the breasts of Augustina with the brains of Izabel,
the arms of Venus de Milo with the motherliness of Annabelle
in the eyes of Evelyn where under the brow of Frances dwelt
the knowledge of Helen with the fragrance of which Rose smelt?

This he desires, but despises to say.
The crab moves side to side or backs away.

Either he is not fit for this world
or his flag is not fit for him to unfurl.
There is neither interval nor reward.
What can the pain of development afford?

They lured him with promises
that slipped sideways with ominous losses
into the smeltering swelter of the melting-pot
of vices fated for melting again into naught
unless he can unravel the Gordian knot.

He is not out of it.
He just slipped from the slippery rock to the pit.
Not a yard, an inch or a baited breadth
has the strength or length
for chance to bend.

Luck is not blind. It's unbelievably conceivable
but impossible to predict as retrievable
without the fear of the prearranged perceivable.
We call it blind because we prefer to shut our own eyes
as the crab crawls away from the campaign of lies.

Fire roars past chalk white teeth
with origins from the depth of deep
in the height of the darkest sleep
within the length of the heart's beat.

A crown of horns sits upon his head
made from the bones of the dead
from other dragons he has bred.
Now his own bones groan.
His mind is as slow as his moan.

He lets his head fall down.
His legs are entwined in the flora that is found
to drag him deeper into the ground.

He raises his noble head to sigh
the saddest of the sadness that within him lies
as human eyes try not to cry
while they watch the last dragon die.

He was a mean old cuss,
but there were times that he acted for us.

His scent lingers on
as  the form of a flower that has gone
to the glory of a world framed by change
arriving at the side of the mountain range
as the stage for evanescent existence that will not drift away as strange
though intoxicated by the world of shallow dreams arranged as deranged.

Defense of goodness is beauty. Beauty is her prize.
She walks in cloudless climbs to starry skies.

The gaudy day denies the sight
to the particulars of light at night.
All that’s best of dark and bright
are mellowed in her tender sight.

Her eyes meet her aspect in the shine.
One shade more or less in the design
doesn't impair the grace in the curve of lines
that wave in every tress that frames her mind.

Her soft smile lightens the place
where thoughts serenely express grace
as the location for their dwelling-place
in the sweet healthy glow of her face.

The expression of the face accounts for an amount,
but a well made body extends beyond that count.

It is in the joints of her hips and wrists
that expression finds attention in her walk and twists.

The carriage of what she carries
shows the fragrant faith that she ferries.

The flex of her waist and knees
says that lifting strength lies within these.

Her dress does not hide her from the world.
It spins as she dances with twirls that spread her curls.

The strong fresh quality of soft clean cotton
is affirmed anew though it had been forgotten.

The meaning of her movement
is the blooming of woman.

The innocent sprawl of the babe by her bosom
tells the woman that she's human.

The folds and style of dress as we pass in the street
form the contour and content for those we meet.

The swimmer nearly naked in the swimming pool
seen swimming through the transparent shine of cool
lies face up, down or rolling with play as the school
that is the pool silently states that floating is the rule.

The bending forward and backward of rowers in row-boats,
the horseman in his saddle, add rhythm to our chronos.

Girls, women, mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends in their respective roles
perform in an enormous chorus for us with their selective or elective goals and tolls.

The group of laborers seated at noon with lunch to eat in their break from labor
have wives, girlfriends and the future to savor along with the flavor of nature.

The female soothing a child, the daughter in the garden or house,
the young man hoeing his row, the bus driver driving past the crowd espoused,
the wrestle of wrestlers, the play of boys out on the vacant lot with the field mouse,
the graduation caps thrown up to embrace love and resistance past the slaughterhouse,
the sweat and grime of the miner's in the mine outside of town,
the upper and under-hold, the march of police and firemen in their uniforms,
the play of muscle shown as toned through clean-setting pants and jackets worn,
the slow return from the fire or disturbance, the pause when the alarm is born
again, then the listening on the alert for reforms to norms
consumed by worms that turn to bore,

the natural, perfect, varied attitudes of the eclectic body electric with the head bent
and the curved neck counting time without rhyme but to rhythm lent
are loved by me. I loosen myself and pass freely by the summer pitched tent.

I am at the breast of beauty to savor the lunch of labor, to swim with the swimmers,
wrestle with wrestlers, mine with the miners, march in line as light shimmers
and shines off the plane of reflected glimmer. Then I pause, listen and count as a winner.

The smiles that win, the tints that glow, so soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
present a mind at peace with what is known as shown, but tells of days in goodness spent
with a heart whose love is innocent!

The dance of herons fight for fun
framed by the beauty of the setting sun.

The soup sits on the table in a pot
just waiting for the ladle to serve it hot.

Weigh the weight of day in the sun's rays.
Praise that which saves your life for the goodness of the way.

Let the design of the divine be divined as blessed.
Let people join together in the test to find the best.

The earth turns to face the burn.
Let this lesson about gravity be learned.

Our planet is one of many.
It is the one we know to have life with plenty.

It orbits around the sun as the center
in the system that allowed us to enter.

Warmth and moisture gave rise to life.
Food and water decrease our strife.

The sun shines bright above the nations.
Leadership helps define our stations.

Who is like the light from on high?
Let this lead direct the reason why.

Wind causes the dust to rise.
The poor give ground to consider size.

A hand out denies the importance of labor.
The management of work is ours to savor.

The elements give something to arrange.
We can cause the world to change.

The past provides one view of time.
It gives us precedence to refine.

The present is a fertile womb.
Sweat anoints the groom assumed.

Do not let your hands grow weak.
The peace of Christ is a cause for speech.

Blessed are you among the best.
Let justice be the quest you press.

Benefit functions for the good.
Do what you can as you should.

113 Laudate, pueri

1 Hallelujah!
Give praise, you servants of the Lord; *
praise the Name of the Lord.
2 Let the Name of the Lord be blessed, *

3 From the rising of the sun to its going down *
let the Name of the Lord be praised.
4 The Lord is high above all nations, *

8 He makes the woman of a childless house *

Huntington is on the north shore of Long Island. It was populated largely by English settlers during the time of the New Amsterdam colony. The town voted in 1660 to become part of Connecticut rather than remain under the authority of the Dutch. It was not until the British gained control of New Amsterdam in 1664 that Huntington became part of the jurisdiction of New York.
British troops used Huntington as their headquarters following the Battle of Long Island during the American Revolutionary War. They remained encamped there until the end of the war.

The Dubhlinn was a small lake used to moor ships. The Poddle connected the lake with the Liffey. This lake was covered during the early 18th century as the city grew. The Dubhlinn lay where the Castle Garden is now located.

Jōdo Shinshū Buddhists established their headquarters in the heavily fortified Ishiyama Hongan-ji in 1496. It was located directly on the site of the old Naniwa Imperial Palace. Oda Nobunaga began a decade-long siege campaign on the temple in 1570. The campaign resulted in the surrender of the monks and the subsequent razing of the temple. Toyotomi Hideyoshi constructed Osaka Castle in its place in 1583.

One of the seraphs flew to me.
A burning coal was held with tongs for me to see.

The future is the present towards which we move.
The move has a groove which the present behooves.

The essence of presence is where time exists now.
The past is a memory for existence to plow.

Experience is the field for our dreams.
Dreams are arranged in the streams of our themes.
The taste of fire didn't burn the dream.

Essence gave the scheme to glean
from the gleam of the steam stream
as taste beamed belief for relief.

You were not given the spirit of slavery.
You were given courage for bravery.

The fear that rises with the strength of challenge
is there to overcome the adversity of imbalance.

Spell your words to tell the race for grace.
Mystic flashes outline your face.

The Word is heard with intrepid love.
No one knows heaven without being born from above.

One night in late spring the bridge of dreams broke
leaving lines of cloud as the memory for what she had wrote.

The heights of the city laid out the accessories to memory
for the immensity of the streaming treasury in atmospheric reverie.

No matter what storms the street had commanded
nothing could draw me to abandon the defense my homeland demanded.

Plunged ever more deeply into the night of summer
I moved through the fiery places of sublime sights as a runner.

Another sun rose in my heart to awaken the revelation
that warmed the world with the fires of imagination.

Velvet soft symbols danced and leapt
for the sight of the silvery haired adept.

Back and forth. To and fro.
Soul and body moved with the flow.

Vertiginous caresses of morality
showed imponderable recesses in legality
until at last the word was woven with virility
to behold the thin silk veil as cloven for fertility.

There was sequence, space and stress
of the soul sick with consciousness.

Throw your body to the beasts!
Hand your spirit to the priests!

Break in twain the walking rod.
Hazel nuts lie there in the sod.

Tear the rose colored cross asunder!
Crack the bolt that caused the thunder!

The inky arch born above us showered star dust
with love on the darkness that had become us.

The moon waxed near the fullness of thrust
as the face of trust.

It was the dragon with just one eye,
‘I will turn the eye to see the sky
if upon his wings we will fly.'

My heart is destroyed by emotion
you have become an explosion
of devotion for my notion of motion

Everything was going up in smoke
Explosions boomed. The scene wrote 'hope is a joke.'

Fire was in the window of construction and sky.
The world was the word destruction written in sight.

Another sun rose in my heart to awaken the revelation
that warmed the world with the conflagration of imagination.

When he had foretold his doom
the letter caused his wife to swoon

He penned,“If we should never meet again,
I will always be your friend."

He was to suffer the most ignominious of fates
while holding two pair of black aces and eights.

When the urban cowboy had disappeared
the tracks of the Silverado had veered
toward the desert into the shimmering veneer
that the purple dawn had mirrored.

So it is that legends go.
The facts are the feelings you are left to know.

They say they found the old truck's treads
had turned into a horse’s tracks instead.

Assign economy to authority.
Respect the public as the whole majority.

Ascribe the properties of energy to power
and the creation of power as the cause of the tower.

Energy is the ability for a system to work.
Flip a switch and the power runs through a circuit kirk.

The machine can operate in accord with design.
When the power runs the machine works fine.

A storm system crackles with stacks that the energy packs.
Lightning flashes. The flash cracks.

Energy is transferred from the cloud to the ground
with a boom that shakes all that is around.

Energy can be transferred, converted and measured.
Whether it is transferred or converted, it conserves the same treasure.

The constraints for property develop the forms for design.
Design allows for variation in expansion, form and function in time.

Growth in populations can be exponential to preserve your existence.
Exponents provide proportions for this growth to preserve subsistence.

Exponents express proportion in size.
These powers also describe variance in curves as lines.

Beauty and courage create the gently curving line as twilight fades.
Time in this light plays a magical serenade.

Faith shines high and bright in the night sky.
The dog releases his breath with a mighty sigh.

The sides of the triangle are equal in length.
The hunter pursues the prey with the dog as his strength.

Being is the beginning of soul's self control.
Soul is the mirror for life that extols.

Living is the first right for all in the law.
Let wisdom reign to correct human flaw.

The voice of the sky is gruff upon the waters
when the thunder rumbles after the lightning honors
the concert of scholars.

The sound resounds through the air.
The waves roll and echo as though they had no care.

The sound has power
that often precedes a shower.

The flash of lightning shows
wonder in darkness before thunder rolls.
Light sees instant weightless motion
as spirit with speed, the notation of notion.

Spirit sings sound
as the crack pounds the ground
to break the back of the somber stillness
behind the roaring rain for the thrill of this.

The voice of thunder rumbles
across the sky as the wind tumbles
under the clouds dark jumble.

Hills are moved by walls of water.
Shelter protects your sons and daughters.

The mountain is consumed by the creation of clouds.
That which had been seen is no longer allowed.

The voice of power is strong.
She sings loud and long
for the splendor of fighting to right her wrongs.

Her song breaks the heart
of the redwood, the end of the start
that could not be broken apart.

All are crying “Have mercy”
on this temple of soul made from trees.

The power of creation
permeates life in time until cessation.

Fresh water is supplied for storage.
Grains are grown for our porridge.

The air has been cleansed for breath in life.
The cleansing reduces the incidence of strife.

Plants grow strong for consumption.
Consumption assures us of gumption.

Life lives with gratitude for providence.
Providence preserves essence with confidence.

Courage passes confidence in the power of the storm.
Power ravished beauty as a functional norm.

Faith did not stop beauty from her own ravishment.
The ravishment did not result in her banishment.

She remembered lessons the jazzman had taught her.
Cast jasmine on shadows where sunlight failed or had faltered.

Fish dwell in darkness to avoid being detected.
When the unseen strikes, all else stands as neglected.

The rainbow of fight in the scaled light pulls down to struggle
as the color of wroth weighed in the shining scales of life and death trouble.

The invisible line pulled taut to link them to the fight for life.
The fish gave life to show that it was worth the fight to overcome strife.

Arigato, Momma Cat.
This was just the result of that.

ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his Name; *
worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters;
the God of glory thunders; *
the Lord is upon the mighty waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is a powerful voice; *
the voice of the Lord is a voice of splendor.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedar trees; *
the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon;
6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, *
and Mount Hermon like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord splits the flames of fire;
the voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; *
the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
8 The voice of the Lord makes the oak trees writhe *
and strips the forests bare.
9 And in the temple of the Lord *
all are crying, "Glory!"
10 The Lord sits enthroned above the flood; *
the Lord sits enthroned as King for evermore.
11 The Lord shall give strength to his people; *
the Lord shall give his people the blessing of peace.

Hickok was born and raised on a farm in northern Illinois at a time when lawlessness and vigilante activity were rampant because of the influence of the "Banditti of the Prairie".

Citizens in the city were active within the abolitionist movement. Ottawa was the site of a famous 1859 extrication of a runaway slave named Jim Gray from a courthouse by prominent civic leaders of the time.

19th century Paris
Paris hosted two major international expositions late in the 19th century. The 1889 Universal Exposition was held to mark the centennial of the French Revolution. It featured the new Eiffel Tower. The 1900 Universal Exposition gave Paris the Pont Alexandre III, the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and the first Paris Métro line. Paris became the laboratory for Naturalism (Émile Zola), Symbolism (Charles Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine) and of Impressionism in art (Courbet, Manet, Monet, Renoir).

The 16th-century shogunate Osaka Castle has undergone several restorations. It is the main historical landmark. It's surrounded by a moat and park with plum, peach and cherry-blossom trees. Sumiyoshi-taisha is among Japan’s oldest Shinto shrines.

An old couple who had no children prayed at Sumiyoshi taisha in the folktale "Issun-boshi." Their prayers were answered with a child. When their son went on a voyage, he departed at Sumiyoshi harbor, sailed down Hosoe-gawa to Osaka Bay, turned up the Yodo River and traveled to Kyoto.

Railroads arrived with the completion of the Southern Pacific line to Los Angeles in 1876. Oil was discovered in the city and surrounding area in 1892. The discoveries had helped California become the country's largest oil producer by 1923. The production accounted for about one-quarter of the world's petroleum output

Kesennuma was Japan's busiest port for processing bonito and swordfish prior to the 2011 disaster. Presently, fishing and associated industries account for 85% of jobs in the town. Tourism is next to commerical fishing in importance.
