The spirit  has the far-reaching beams
of unloosed dreams.

The deep diving legend in myth or bible
shows the plots of the poets from  the elder revival.

The air of the temple was more rare than the  lily.
The stories contrast the known with the silly.

You strong walls with sealed roof rising to heaven!
You pinnacle of power fashioned from mortal leaven.

You have the life that lives in history.
You harbor morality that is not just a mystery!

You too I welcome with songs filled with joy!
You are the haven of help for each girl and boy.

Live in a manner worthy of life.
Rise above adversity to overcome strife.

The right to life is the basis for law.
Killing for defense is the last straw.

Defense is against a threat that is present and clear.
The just and faithful value life as dear.

The duty to retreat is only blessed when its best.
The presumption of fear is not a quest to be pressed.
It is something confessed to digest the contest.

Killing an unarmed person is murder.
You make a martyr with fervor
and become liable for the merger
of the lurker and shirker.

Democracy does not decree
the choice between matrons or patriarchy.
Minorities are not better than the majority.
Everybody is the concern for the government of me
for the brave and the free.

Raise praise for goodness.
That which is best is that which stood blessed
through the test.

Goodness is not just a matter of taste.
It is provision for need with minimal waste.
Steadfast love endures the test of time.
A weapon is only part of that which is mine.

Freedom is social with trade, travel and science.
Training and care increase self-reliance.

Show favor to people, not money for free.
Do not concede defeat to partisan greed.
Compensation keeps competition in line with need.

Provide protection from violence.
Protest breaks silence.

Prosperity is for labor and management.
Security is for people with the advantaged consent.

Iniquity is part of our descent.
Sons and daughters were sacrificed as though by intent.
Invasions, genocide, torture and cruelty in punishment
have been bent to the deprivation of dissent.
The destruction of opposition is a goal that can not be met.

Unarmed citizens and immigrants have been killed.
The blood of non-combatants has been spilled.
It has been poured out for false belief willed
for the corruption of government as fulfilled
and the pollution of the land with the prejudiced skill
of plutocracy billed.

Security is not secured by the industry for war.
Banking on munitions makes the nation state a whore.
Industry has to be regulated for defense or its a monster carnivore.
A nation does not live by violence and cruelty galore.

Live in a manner worthy of life.
Rise above adversity to overcome strife.

The right to life is the basis for law.
Killing for defense is only the last straw.

Defense is against a threat that is present and clear.
The just and faithful value life as dear.

Psalm 106.18

Part I Confitemini Domino

1 Hallelujah!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, *
for his mercy endures for ever.
2 Who can declare the mighty acts of the Lord *
or show forth all his praise?
3 Happy are those who act with justice *
and always do what is right!
4 Remember me, O Lord, with the favor you have for your people, *
and visit me with your saving help;
5 That I may see the prosperity of your elect
and be glad with the gladness of your people, *
that I may glory with your inheritance.
6 We have sinned as our forebears did; *
we have done wrong and dealt wickedly.
7 In Egypt they did not consider your marvelous works,
nor remember the abundance of your love; *
they defied the Most High at the Red Sea.
8 But he saved them for his Name's sake, *
to make his power known.
9 He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up, *
and he led them through the deep as through a desert.
10 He saved them from the hand of those who hated them *
and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 The waters covered their oppressors; *
not one of them was left.
12 Then they believed his words *
and sang him songs of praise.
13 But they soon forgot his deeds *
and did not wait for his counsel.
14 A craving seized them in the wilderness, *
and they put God to the test in the desert.
15 He gave them what they asked, *
but sent leanness into their soul.
16 They envied Moses in the camp, *
and Aaron, the holy one of the Lord.
17 The earth opened and swallowed Dathan *
and covered the company of Abiram.
18 Fire blazed up against their company, *
and flames devoured the wicked.
