Find

Lucy Liu as Sadie Blake in "Rise"

Courage
勇気
Yuki
from Ps.98

The sky was so high,
the air took my breath away.

Giant planets cruised along
the astral highway.

Crying for lying,
the milk moon shone gray
this May. The atmosphere betrayed
the time for a new song.

The old song had been going on
for so long it was killing the lawn.
No growth? No green to be seen
for the fawn.

The Nemean Lion is homicidal intent
for the hero who is bent on making rent.
The mission maker’s impenetrable hide
is not plebian for kingdom, republic
or any side.

It protects the ‘right’ to take money
for the security of advantage
for the wealthiest kind.

The fangs do not rise as missiles against lies.
The missiles fly against the right to life
in any size. Sigh.

Leo is sighing for all that is spent
to make it look like the war against peace
is meant to win strategic advantage
with courage for ascent.

Care for the poor
provides victory for more
than pandering for war.

Mercy evokes memory
with desire for emulation.
Cruelty imposes damage
on the sensation of elation
for justice.

Violence shows others
how not to behave
for the nation.

Misperception requires
the correction of affection
for deception.

Faithfulness earns honor.
Honor with honesty
sanctifies reward.

A world betrayed
by deception for profit
from violence honors
truth for justice
by non-violence
more than the motive
for betrayal.

Let your labor sing.
It’s your music.
You choose it.
Don’t lose it.

Sing for freedom
with justice. There
is no greater love.
It is the foundation
for morality.

Ps. 98

1 Sing to the Lord a new song, *
for he has done marvelous things.
2 With his right hand and his holy arm *
has he won for himself the victory.

3 The Lord has made known his victory; *
his righteousness has he openly shown in the sight of the nations.

4 He remembers his mercy and faithfulness to the house of Israel, *
and all the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.

5 Shout with joy to the Lord, all you lands; *
lift up your voice, rejoice, and sing.

6 Sing to the Lord with the harp, *
with the harp and the voice of song.

7 With trumpets and the sound of the horn *
shout with joy before the King, the Lord.

8 Let the sea make a noise and all that is in it, *
the lands and those who dwell therein.
